This case consists of 3 bottles each of the following wines and includes a 5% discount on the individual bottle prices and free delivery as well: Tapiz Sauvignon Blanc 2008: Subtle grassy notes on the nose with a richer than expected palate. Much more subtle than our New Zealand cousin's version of this variety, but more body and gooseberry than a French offering. This makes for an excellent party wine and should match most of the classic hors-d'oeuvres. Tapiz Cabernet Sauvignon 2004: Another winner from the Tapiz range, these wines are excellent demonstrations of the varietals, with great balance between the fruit and the oak plus the scent of cigar box and dark cocoa. It would be fantastic with a good steak and kidney pie, but if that's not your idea of culinary delight, try instead some lamb cutlets cooked well pink. Jancis Robinson wrote: "Tobacco and life on the nose - real zest. Bitter chocolate and ripe tannins there in abundance. Savoury finish and the alcohol is not too excessive. Structured, great value." http://www.jancisrobinson.com/articles/a200903264.html Tapiz Malbec Rosé 2008: Bright colour, intense and concentrated red fruits on the nose and in the mouth. Fantastic rosé for those who like a lovely dollop of strawberries and raspberries in their wine. Tapiz Syrah 2006: Delicate chocolate notes on the nose, it has a sweet leathery fruit but put back in place by some good dry tannins flecked with a sprinkling of black pepper. |
