A mellow, deep red with a plummy nose, plum and cherry on the palate this wine is well balanced with the acidity to liven it up, but fruit and tannins to give it a medium to full bodied texture, and a good long finish. A big fan of Tuscan wines I approached this with some trepidation but was very pleasantly surprised. This would go well with any rich, tomato sauce based pasta dish. |
