Lots of sweet, ripe fruit on the nose, followed by an easy, soft palate despite some 14 months in oak. Blends at this level add complexity to the single varietals and also tend to tame the sweet jamminess that the respective single wines can sometimes have. Should also mention that this has an endless finish. The blend is the classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (85%), Merlot (10%) and Cabernet Franc (5%), although you would be hard pushed to find anything at this level and at this price from France. |
