Rich and powerful aromas of concentrated blackcurrant, with an inky concentration on the palate bursting with fruit, with a dash of peppery spiciness laced with soft leather. A splendid version of this varietal which will go well with the Pampas Plains Sirloin Mini Roast. Jancis Robinson has also rated this wine very highly on her website: "Deep glowing crimson with lots of development. Heady, sumptuous hedonistic nose. Lots of graphite and yet rich ripe fruit too.
