Polo Amateur Malbec Rosé 2008, La Chamiza |
|
A light ruby red, with hints of violet, this has the classical Malbec pungent fruitiness, with lots of strawberry and cherry. On the palate it is well balanced with a refreshing acidity but smooth and rich. The grapes were macerated on the skins for 72 hours, with a further 15 days of fermentation, to get the most out of the fruit. This is a great rosé from a relatively new winery, but by a producer whose passion for polo is only matched by his passion for making wines that are seen to be ambassadors for the country, and the sport.
